Maybe I can just keep freezing CPU gobbling Omnishere to kingdom come and then be sittin' pretty. The problem is lack of Freeze Track and no one understands that yet.it's surreal.like I'm living on a different planet.Planet Comprende.Ī) I can get a Virus TI or a Receptor for external processing.ī) I can use Freeze Track in Logic and be happy as a clam except for the lack of speedy, efficient, great sounding XPand2 and other great AIR plugins. Everyone thinks the VI problem is RTAS, but it's not. I'm sitting here trying to figure out how I can keep up my Mac Pro workflow on a MacBook.
So many days I feel like throwing Avid off the cliff for not having Freeze Track. Xpand2 is a multitimbral workstation with up-to four slots. Wed recommend installing Eighty Eight Ensemble and Xpand2 (both 32 and 64 bit) to this folder. With the release of Pro Tools 8, this widely popular workstation was given new controls, improved features, an additional Gigabyte of sounds, and a new name: Xpand2. To do this, change the install location of the VST plugin (not the content or plugin data) during the installation for one of the plugins. It’s didn’t strain the CPU much at all, and that is always a welcome feature.
There are many reasons I still use PT and AIR is the single biggest factor gluing me to PT these days. Xpand2 from Air Music Technology is currently FREE (VST/AU) from Don't Crack for a limited time. Xpand 2 VST Full Crack as part of the Creative Collection of instrument plug-ins included as part of Avid Pro Tools. Xpand2 excels in its ease of use, the huge amount of great presets, and the multitimbral/layering ability really extends its capabilities. Mostly, they have always been total crap to my ears.
Excluding the gorgeous Sculpture and the ultra efficient EXS sampler, the Logic VIs have been useless eye candy toys to me.
